Our story is your story
The Novotalk DNA centers on “stubbornness.” It was developed by a group of patients and clinicians who couldn’t accept that stuttering and other treatable speech disorders remain so common.
Over a billion people worldwide face speech and language challenges, and most of these issues are manageable. The problem is that current treatment options are not accessible to most. We believed there had to be a simpler way to help more people effectively, anytime, anywhere, and at a lower cost.
Our Solution
The solution now appears straightforward. Thanks to widespread internet access, mobile devices, and recent progress in Machine Learning and AI, Novotalk decided to create a delivery system that is better, more adaptable, accessible, and cost-effective.
We created a new kind of virtual therapist called Emily and gave control of treatment to the patient. With Emily’s continuous support—who is always updated, remembers everything, and customizes her approach—along with the patient’s ability to control the pace and intensity, we believe this is an effective solution.
Our first focus was on stuttering. We incorporated adaptive features that tailor the experience to each individual. These include realistic scenario practices, emotional support modules, and helpful tips.
Currently, with many happy, fluent users, we continue to improve our product and are working hard to address additional speech disorders to help more people help themselves.

Our Mission
Relieve the burden associated with treating manageable speech and language disorders.
Many people underestimate the importance of speech, often taking it for granted. Speech and language are vital for human interaction, serving as our primary means of communicating and expressing ourselves. For individuals with speech disorders, daily life can present challenges that seem minor but are actually quite burdensome. Examples include a father unable to read a bedtime story to his daughter, an employee struggling to write a simple email or avoiding conversations with colleagues, or a young woman becoming quiet at social events or on a date. These “small” difficulties can lead to ongoing frustration and unhappiness. Sadly, many people are unaware of this because those affected often remain silent. Beyond the individual, the impact of speech and language disorders extends to families and society. The severity of these issues can create financial, social, and emotional burdens. Because of their prevalence, they also affect broader economic factors. In essence, if speech and language disfluencies were eliminated, people could contribute more to society, and healthcare costs would decrease.
